About Bookmakers.com.ng and its bookmaker comparisons

Bookmakers.com.ng puts Nigerian and international bookmakers next to each other on the points a punter weighs before signing up: the licence, the welcome offer in naira, the cashier and the payout time.

Coverage

Nigerian and international bookmakers compared

Bookmaker pages on the site cover Nigerian-licensed and offshore bookmakers. A Nigerian licence most often comes from the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA), and some operators name a state permit from Ondo, Oyo or Ekiti on their Nigerian website. Offshore bookmakers work from a licence issued in Curaçao or Anjouan.

Both kinds are listed for punters aged 18 and over, the betting age in Nigeria.

Each bookmaker page has a licence seal near the top. It shows the licence type and the company that holds it, where one is published. Lagos licences get a button that opens the regulator’s register. A permit from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) shows on the seal when an operator cites one.

If a Nigerian licence matters to you, read the seal before the bonus. An entry you can open on the LSLGA website carries more weight than a line in the operator’s own footer.

Naira figures

Where the figures on each bookmaker page come from

Welcome offers, minimum deposits, payment methods and payout times are taken from the operator’s Nigerian website, its help centre, its Google Play or App Store listing, and the LSLGA register.

Naira amounts appear as the operator prints them. The wagering multiple, minimum odds and expiry sit next to each bonus. A 100% bonus with 5x wagering at odds of 1.40 is far easier to clear than one with 35x, so both numbers matter.

Bookmaker pages end with a short list of the operator and regulator pages behind their figures. Open the same pages before you deposit, because an offer can change between your visit and the last update shown under the heading.

Authors

The editors and analysts behind each page

Each page on the site names the person who looks after it. The name links to a profile with all of their work. Tobi Akinwale edits the bookmaker pages and the site comparisons. Chidinma Okorie writes the guides and the bonus and app pages.

Football tips are split by league. Ibrahim Danjuma has the Premier League and the daily tips. Osaze Egharevba has the Champions League and the Europa League. Seyi Afolayan has La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Commission

Affiliate links and the commission behind them

Bookmakers.com.ng earns a commission from some bookmakers when a reader opens an account through a link on the site. Those operators are affiliate partners, and their links carry a tracking code that tells the bookmaker where the new account came from.

Links to the other bookmakers lead to the operator’s ordinary homepage and carry no tracking code.

Every bookmaker button on the site points to an address that starts with /go/ and ends with the bookmaker’s name. That address forwards you to the operator, is marked as sponsored, and is kept out of search engines through the site’s robots.txt file.

Once the bookmaker’s page opens, its own terms, privacy policy and cookie rules apply to the account you create there. Spotted a figure that has changed? The contact page lists what to include in a report.
