How many goals the 1.5 line needs
The 1.5 line needs two goals from either team, so 2-0, 1-1, 0-2, 3-1 and every bigger scoreline win the over. A 0-0 or a 1-0 loses it. The half goal means the bet never ends level.
| Final score | Total goals | Over | Under |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0-0 | 0 | Lose | Win |
| 1-0 or 0-1 | 1 | Lose | Win |
| 1-1, 2-0 or 0-2 | 2 | Win | Lose |
| 2-1, 3-0 or higher | 3+ | Win | Lose |
SportyBet’s football rules count goals in regular time plus injury time. Extra time and penalty shootouts stay out of the total unless the market name includes them.
At odds of 1.30, a ₦2,000 stake on the over returns ₦2,600 once the second goal goes in. That is a profit of ₦600.
The under side is the mirror bet. It wins on 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1 and loses the moment a second goal arrives. The 2.5 line asks for three goals, so the 1-1 that pays here loses there.
On the slip
Over 1.5 meaning in betting on SportyBet and Bet9ja
On SportyBet the two-goal line sits in the Over/Under market. Its help centre settles half lines like this one as a plain win or loss.
SportyBet also prices quarter lines. On the 1.75 line, exactly two goals is settled as half won: half your stake wins at the quoted odds, and the other half comes back to you.
Bet9ja’s market guide writes lines in short form inside its O/U market, such as O2.5 and U2.5. Its BHO1.5 market is much harder to win. It needs at least two goals in each half, so a 2-0 with both goals after the break loses.
If the slip shows Both Halves, Multigoal or a team name next to the line, open the market description before you confirm the stake.
Variants
Over 1.5 first half and home team goals
The first-half line needs two goals before the half-time whistle. Goals after the break play no part. SportyBet lists it as 1st Half Over/Under, so 1-1 at the interval wins even if the match ends 1-1.
The home team line counts the home side’s goals alone. Enyimba must score twice for the bet to land, whatever the visitors do. SportyBet calls it Home Team Over/Under, and the away version works the same way.
Combined markets join the line to a result. On SportyBet’s 1X2 & Over/Under, home win plus two goals or more needs the home side to win a match with at least two goals. So 1-0 loses and 2-1 wins.
Short odds multiply slowly in an acca. Four legs at 1.30 give total odds of about 2.86, so a ₦1,000 slip returns ₦2,856, and one 1-0 result sinks it.

FAQ
Do own goals count on the goal line?
Yes. Goal lines settle on the final score, and an own goal changes the score like any other goal. Own goals drop out only in goalscorer markets, where SportyBet ignores them when it settles Anytime or First Goalscorer bets.
Does extra time count?
No. SportyBet settles goal markets on the 90 minutes plus injury time, with extra time and penalties left out unless the market says so. A cup tie at 1-0 after 90 minutes loses the two-goal bet, however many goals follow.
What does an away win with two goals or more mean?
It joins an away win to a two-goal match in one selection. The away side must win and the match must finish with at least two goals, so 0-2 or 1-2 wins while 0-1 loses. SportyBet offers it in the 1X2 & Over/Under market.
What is the over/under line for corners or bookings?
The same idea applied to another count. SportyBet counts only corners actually taken, and in bookings markets a yellow card counts as 1 and a red card as 2, so a single straight red already clears the 1.5 bookings line.
