Saturday
Saturday football predictions
Saturday football predictions cover the busiest day of the European week, from the early Premier League kick-off to the late games in Spain and Italy. Matches with a written page show the main tip, its chance and the price.
Fixtures further away show the kick-off time in WAT and the day their tip opens. Those rows turn into full picks as the match pages are written, so the list is fullest by Friday evening.
Each row links to the match page, which carries the goals tip, the GG call and the form of both sides.
Sunday
Sunday football predictions
Sunday football predictions open a day after Saturday’s, because tips open about 36 hours before each kick-off. Most Sunday tips appear through Friday night and Saturday morning.
Sunday cards are lighter in England and heavier in Spain, Italy and France, where the evening game is often the biggest of the round. Late kick-offs in Italy and Spain can end after 22:00 WAT.
Fixtures still to open stay in kick-off order until their page is written.
Timing
When weekend tips open
Weekend tips open on a rolling window. A match page is written about 36 to 40 hours before kick-off, once the odds, the league table and the latest results are in.
That means a 16:00 WAT kick-off on Saturday gets its page early on Friday, and a 20:45 WAT kick-off on Sunday gets its page on Saturday morning.
Tips are not edited after they are written, so the page always shows what was called and when. Check the price again on the day you bet. A fixture moved for television coverage moves its opening day with it, and the list updates on the next run.
Slips
Building a weekend slip
Weekend football predictions work best on a short slip spread across both days. Three legs at 1.50 multiply to 3.38, so a ₦2,000 stake returns ₦6,750 if all three land.
Each leg added cuts the chance the slip lands. Three legs at 65% land together about 27% of the time, and five legs at 65% fall below 12%.
Set the total you will stake for the whole weekend before Saturday starts, and keep to it whatever happens in the early games. Spread the legs across Saturday and Sunday so one bad afternoon leaves the rest of the slip alive.
Kick-offs
Weekend kick-off times in WAT
Weekend kick-off times in WAT depend on the clocks in Europe. Nigeria stays on WAT, one hour ahead of GMT, all year.
In the British winter, a 15:00 kick-off in England is 16:00 WAT. In the British summer the two clocks match, so 15:00 in England is 15:00 WAT.
Spain, Italy, Germany and France run one hour ahead of England. Their kick-offs match WAT in winter and sit one hour ahead of WAT in summer. Every kick-off time here is already converted.
The clocks in Britain and the rest of Europe change on the last Sunday of October and of March. On those weekends a kick-off moves by an hour against WAT overnight.
