Three options
Double chance explained: 1X, X2 and 12
Double chance explained in one line: you take two of the three match results in a single bet. 1X wins on a home win or a draw. X2 wins on an away win or a draw. 12 wins on either team winning and loses only on a draw.
Covering two results lowers the price. A home side at 1.70 to win sits around 1.20 on 1X, and an away side at 3.40 around 1.60 on X2.
Double chance and draw no bet differ on the draw: draw no bet refunds the stake. The draw no bet guide sets the two side by side.
The numbers
How the double chance pick is chosen
The double chance pick for each match is the option with the highest chance among 1X, X2 and 12. Those chances come straight from the match model: home plus draw for 1X, away plus draw for X2, home plus away for 12.
In a lopsided match 1X or X2 usually leads. In an open match between two attacking sides with a low draw chance, 12 can come out on top, often above 75%.
Strong starts at 82% and Fair at 74%, higher than for straight results, because a double chance pick covers so much of the outcome. Ties between the three options go to 1X or X2 before 12.
Tomorrow
Double chance predictions for tomorrow
Double chance predictions for tomorrow are added as each match page is written, about a day and a half before kick-off. Weekend fixtures fill in from Thursday night onwards.
Because double chance prices are short, a small move matters. A 1X price falling from 1.30 to 1.22 cuts the profit on a ₦10,000 stake from ₦3,000 to ₦2,200, so compare prices before you place the bet.
Each row links to its match page, where the main tip, the goals tip and the GG call sit next to the double chance option.
Prices
Double chance odds and when they are worth taking
Double chance odds are worth taking when the price pays more than the chance suggests. Divide 100 by the chance to get the fair price: 80% gives 1.25, 75% gives 1.33.
If 1X is rated 80% and the bookmaker offers 1.32, the price is longer than fair. If it offers 1.18, the bookmaker is pricing the pick as if it were 85%, and the margin is working against you.
12 is worth a look on derbies and cup ties where both sides need a win, because the market often prices the draw too high. A ₦10,000 stake on 12 at 1.30 returns ₦13,000.
Record
Double chance results from the last 7 days
Double chance results are settled on the 90-minute score. Strong and Fair picks count towards the rate, and each settled pick stays in the list with its final score.
Double chance predictions today enter this record the next morning, and a draw shows plainly as the loss on every 12 pick.
High strike rates come with short prices. A pick at 1.25 has to land four times out of five just to break even, so a 78% week can still lose money. Track the profit as well as the rate before you scale up any stake. Profit is the number that pays.
Double chance FAQ
Which is safer, 1X or X2?
Neither is safer by name. 1X is the likelier pick when the home side is stronger, X2 when the away side is. The chance on each row shows which one leads for that match.
Does a draw win a 12 bet?
No. 12 covers a home win and an away win, so a draw is the only result that loses it.
Is double chance the same as draw no bet?
No. Double chance wins on a draw for 1X and X2. Draw no bet returns your stake on a draw instead, at a longer price.
Can double chance picks go in an accumulator?
Yes, and many punters use them that way because the prices are short. Four legs at 1.25 make 2.44, and the chance all four land at 80% each is about 41%.
