The Bundesliga table has 18 clubs and 34 matchdays, with three points for a win and one for a draw. Germany breaks ties on goal difference first and goals scored second, so attacking sides gain from big wins.
Two clubs on 50 points with goal differences of +20 and +14 are separated by those six goals, whatever the head-to-head results were. That makes a 5-0 win worth more in Germany than in Spain or Italy.
The shorter season, 34 rounds against 38 elsewhere, also means every round carries a little more weight.
Germany has no head-to-head rule, so every goal across the season can count in May.
